The Driver is a car racing video game developed by Codemasters and published by Microsoft. It was released on March 13, 1999 for Microsoft Windows and became the second game in the franchise to be released. It continues the story of The Driver, a blind racecar driver who has been tasked with defending his homeland from an alien invasion. Players assume control of The Driver and other characters in driving various cars through multiple levels on various themes using various weapons at their disposal. Each race level presents new obstacles and risks, requiring new strategies and techniques as well as being more difficult than previous levels. Racing requires skill, courage, natural ability and bonus points. The objective is to reach the finish line first by driving as safely as possible while collecting bonus points for good technique, speed, dangerous driving or destruction of opponents’ cars. You can take part in single races or compete against players from around the world in online cups for money and renown. This is the third game in the “Stunts” series. The first was a car stunt video game, and then the second was about car stunts. This game is about driving a car through various different levels. Each level has a specific set of obstacles and challenges to overcome. You can either play single player or challenge your friends to see who can reach their level first! Game Controls: Use the WASD keys to drive, use 'space' to brake, and 'arrow' key to accelerate. When driving you must keep an eye on your speed as well as all other cars around you, because they too will be trying to win every race! There are checkpoints at each stage but some roads may require racing for a certain amount of time before being reopened again.
